Video content generation is the most important service for digital marketing agencies to help companies educate their customers and prospects.

Recently The Final Code embarked on the challenging task of building out a new video recording studio. They wanted a stand-alone interactive smart board device that would be easy for their own customers to walk up and use. They needed to create high quality videos of demonstrations with proprietary content, live lectures and live training. Plus they needed to record the demonstrator and the screen content simultaneously with multiple cameras. Additionally, the interactive smart board needed to be interoperable with multiple pieces of critical studio equipment they already owned including a Tricaster.

The Final Code team knew they would face complex challenges to find a product that would sync with their existing Tricaster device and integrate well into a live editing process, let alone finding a system that was very intuitive to use while still offering the necessary features.

After extensive research in the interactive smart board space, The Final Code team found that OneScreen was the product that they wanted to vet fully as they believed it could meet all of their business needs. After the live demo from the OneScreen team, The Final Code team praised the knowledge provided by the sales team and for helping them feel educated and confident in choosing OneScreen as the solution to their challenge.

Once ordered, the OneScreen was delivered in a quick three days. The Final Code team was immediately satisfied with the flexibility of the system. “One of the things we are still playing with is whether or not we want to hang the board in portrait or landscape style. I like the way it is so easy to switch between these two options” said Larry Murphy, CEO of The Final Code.

While installing the OneScreen was an easy job, the expected struggle of integrating all of the equipment, including the Tricaster, was present. As the demonstrator is using OneScreen on the set, they are being video recorded from multiple cameras as well as all of the content and annotations drawn on the screen. All feeds are pushed to a video editing room where all of that input is then turned into a live show. The company faced some serious issues and as per Larry Murphy, “The Tricaster is an expensive, temperamental and sophisticated piece of equipment and we had to make it all work for the client and had no idea what we were doing”. They reached out to the OneScreen team after their engineers and veteran video personnel could not get things synced up. Within a few minutes the Screen Skills Guru team was able to resolve the problem by making adjustments remotely. Again, Larry Murphy commended the OneScreen Guru team for their help, “Let me tell you Abraham is one patient guy. Long story short, Abraham logged into the system remotely and made some adjustments and got it all working. That’s where I can comfortably say ‘Excellent customer service!’”.

The Final Code team tells us that the video recording studio is a terrific success. In addition to providing the product interoperability essential to the studio’s processes, their clients are able to use the OneScreen quickly, with little to no training.
