Infections have always been a concern at medical facilities, but the 2020 pandemic brought many new and unique challenges. With 400 patient beds, 700 physicians, 3,500 trained associates and thousands of volunteers, PVHMC had to quickly implement a new fever check and mask-wearing policies handed down by California’s state and local officials.

HIPAA laws on handling patient data also constrained what kind of devices they could choose.

After reviewing their options, leaders at PVHMC turned to the OneScreen GoSafe to handle the required temperature scanning and mask identification protocols.
